The resort will have a surf-lifestyle concept on the Dolphin Coast combined with the opportunity to stay on a "big five" game reserve and embark on a safari in Northern Natal. Located only 30 minutes from King Shaka International Airport, the property will include 342 rooms, 64 suites, 80 rooms in the Game Lodge, plus a convention center.
Club Med Tinley will offer fun family activities, an array of land and water sports, kid’s club with tailored facilities and certified staff, plus the very first Surf School at Club Med. For those looking for a wellness retreat, the resort will offer an indulgent spa, fitness center, yoga school and an adult-only Zen pool and bar. Club Med Tinley will also offer an Exclusive Collection space, providing a serene lounge area, refined bar, luxurious pool and a large range of exclusive services.
The new project will embrace environmental stewardship through its “Bye Bye Plastic Program,” Green Globe sustainable tourism certification and eco-certified construction. It is also poised to generate over 3,500 direct and indirect jobs, empowering the community and invigorating the local economy. The development is a result of a collaborative partnership between Club Med and the Collins Residential Consortium, developers of Club Med Tinley.
The construction period is estimated to be 28 months, commencing in early 2024, with the resort opening scheduled around July 2026.
