The Dallas News reports the 42-story Cityplace Tower will soon be similarly revamped. Only about 60% of the office space in the building is occupied. The owner of the building, NexPoint, is renovating the 1.35 million square foot high-rise. They are adding 98 rental units, a 222-room hotel and a conference center. The building, built in 1988, is expected to be entirely renovated by the first quarter of 2025. The rental conversion is expected to cost $61.5 million. Construction of the new hotel is expected to cost $136.2 million.

NexPoint recently created a new headquarters for Dallas retailer Neiman Marcus within the building, occupying three floors.
